![]() ![]() ![]() It would be great to see this book made into film. I also like how it speaks to several issues in our society today such as police brutality and how we treat our war veterans. The way it captures the relationship between mother and daughter speaks volumes. Please continue writing books like this that carry a wonderful message in them. I would be looking forward to more work from you. Your writing convinced me to feel the characters like I was in their places. What I liked the most about Daughter was the poetic style that you adopted to write it. Not only that, before we started the book, our course instructor gave us a brief introduction about you as an author as well as your personal life, which made me even more excited to read your work. Once I started reading the book, I could not put it down as every chapter, every page had something that kept me reading. I must say, Daughter showed me so many perspectives of life and left me with numerous messages to learn from. We also had Socratic seminars on every chapter of the book in class. As part of our Literature and Writing course, our course instructor assigned us the book Daughter written by you. I am writing this letter to acknowledge your work. I am Sonam Motiani, an international student from Pakistan studying at Bennett College, Greensboro. ![]()
